Our Story

Owner of Restoration Wellness

India Smithson is a licensed occupational therapy assistant who practices craniosacral fascial therapy, and Restoration Wellness is her own quiet room inside 1009 North Highland Avenue in Murfreesboro, the building she shares with Eden Wellness, Female Foundations and Resting Place Day Spa. She describes her work as gentle, restorative treatment that supports the body's natural ability to heal and rebalance, and she sets up every session the same way, as a safe space where the body can let go.

Craniosacral fascial therapy is quiet, hands-on work on the fascia, the connective tissue that wraps through the whole body, releasing the tightness it holds onto after injury, stress or a hard season. India works with all ages, and some of the families who have found her bring their very youngest. One mom wrote that they had been seeing India with their five-month-old son before and after his tongue and lip tie release, for his mobility, oral function and breastfeeding, and said, "She is so gentle, knowledgeable, and wonderful with babies. She always takes the time to explain everything and truly cares about helping her clients."

The room itself tells you a lot about her. A soft lamp glows on the desk, her training certificates stand framed on the shelves between candles and a trailing plant, and she works from a low stool at your head with her hands doing the listening. Another client summed it up in one line: "India is amazing to work with! Extremely knowledgeable and truly made the biggest difference on our healing journey!"

My approach is grounded in intention and deep respect for the nervous system, creating a safe space to allow for healing.
