Adult & Teen Challenge Murfreesboro

Adult & Teen Challenge is a faith-based addiction-recovery ministry, and its Murfreesboro outreach center is led by Gene Garcia, who knows this road from the inside. Gene battled opioid and heroin addiction, completed the program himself, and stayed to help others do the same. As he puts it, the goal is not just getting people off drugs, but teaching them a new frame of life.

Part of the Heartland Adult & Teen Challenge family that has served Tennessee for more than fifty years, the program walks men through a year-long journey: roughly eight months of residential discipleship followed by a four-month re-entry phase that eases them back into work and community. It blends biblical principles, one-on-one counseling, life skills, and job preparation, with real accountability and a lot of grace.

The Murfreesboro ministry is currently an outreach and referral center, with plans to build a residential campus right here in Rutherford County. If you or someone you love is ready to take a first step, they will meet you with experience, compassion, and dignity.
